A Farmington homeowner contacted us after hearing a sudden, very loud noise inside their home. After checking around the house to locate the source of the sound, they tried to open their garage door. The door refused to open, and they noticed that the garage door spring was broken.
When our technician arrived on site, we measured the door's dimensions and weight to ensure the proper spring sizing. We presented a couple of repair options to the customer, who selected the basic option. We then installed a new torsion spring on the door.
While we were completing the job, the customer asked us to inspect the balance of their second garage door and check its spring as well. After evaluating the second door, we ended up replacing two torsion springs across both doors to leave both garage doors balanced and operating properly.
