What causes this problem?

The two photo-eyes near the floor must see each other; if the beam is broken or the lenses are misaligned, the opener refuses to close and reverses. Most sensor calls are alignment (a bracket knocked by a bin or a bicycle), a dirty or fogged lens, a nicked or corroded wire, or afternoon sun hitting one lens directly. We realign and secure the brackets, replace damaged wire or a failed sensor pair, shade a sun-struck lens where needed, and then test the reverse properly with an obstruction.
