We recently responded to a service call for a homeowner in Meriden, CT, who was dealing with a broken garage door spring and related hardware damage.

When our technician arrived on-site, we found that the middle bracket supporting the torsion system had been ripped out of place. Along with the broken spring, the displaced center bracket had bent upward and caused damage to the garage door opener. The homeowner mentioned that the springs had been replaced only two years prior, so experiencing another failure so quickly was unexpected.

To provide a more durable fix, we offered three spring replacement options: standard replacement springs, high-cycle springs, and ultra-mega high-cycle springs. The customer chose the medium option, selecting high-cycle springs rated for 15,000 to 18,000 cycles to ensure longer-lasting performance.

Our team installed the new high-cycle torsion springs and thoroughly re-anchored the middle bracket to ensure it was completely secure. We then repaired the garage door opener that had been damaged by the bent bracket assembly. Once the repairs were complete, the entire garage door system was tested to verify smooth, safe, and proper operation.

Whether you are dealing with broken torsion springs, mounting bracket issues, or an opener malfunction, proper repairs help restore reliable access to your garage.
