During a recent service visit in Newington, CT, we inspected a garage door system after the sprocket on the existing LiftMaster opener broke off. Upon inspecting the system on site, we identified that the garage door springs were the wrong size. Incorrectly sized springs fail to properly counterbalance the weight of the door, putting excessive stress on the garage door sprocket and leading to equipment failure.
To restore proper operation and prevent future strain on the system, we replaced the wrong-sized springs along with the pulleys, cables, rollers, and the entire moving parts system of the door. Once the mechanical components were fully replaced and properly balanced, we installed a brand new LiftMaster 2220L garage door opener. This new unit features built-in MyQ connectivity and an integrated camera, providing modern functionality and reliable daily performance for the homeowner.
